FAQs
Common Questions:
WHAT TYPE OF FUEL DO I NEED FOR MY BABYFOOT FIRE?
Babyfoot Fire, Ring of Fire and Bangkok can run on multiple alcohol based fuels including Isopropyl and Bio Ethanol. We recommend 91% Isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) or an even mix of 70% and 99% percent Isopropyl alcohol. 70% only works well if your fire pit is already warm and 99% is easier to light if your pit is very cold. In a pinch you can use high proof drinking alcohols like Everclear (Bacardi 151 works great in warm climates). Buying in bulk is highly recommended as it lowers the cost per fire and you will find you use your fire pit more often when you have lots of fuel to spare. If you can't find a good local source from your grocery or hardware store, here is link to 4 gallons of 91% on Amazon for just 13 cents an oz.:

WHEN CAN I GET MY FIRE PIT DELIVERED?
Babyfoot Fire, Ring of Fire and Bangkok are shipped within one or two days via UPS ground or USPS. Babyfoot is in over 20 countries around the world so overseas shipping is possible. Due to the weight of Babyfoot, however, shipping costs can exceed the price of the fire pit depending on the country. Feel free to email us with your address and we will get an estimate for you.
HOW LONG DO YOUR FIRE PITS BURN FOR?
Babyfoot Fire, Ring of Fire and Bangkok burn times can vary from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on environmental factor and conditions. On average they will burn for about 45 minutes using 5oz. of 91% Isopropyl alcohol. They start with a robust flame that gradually dies down to a calming flicker. Bigfoot and Littlefoot firetables each run for 16 hours on the low setting and 8 hours on the high setting using a 20lb propane tank.
How long do I have to wait before relighting my Babyfoot?
We recommend waiting until your firestones are cool to the touch. The reason for this is because the fire can still be burning though it may not be visible. Pouring fuel into a fire pit that is too hot or still burning is dangerous and should not be attempted.
How do the Bigfoot Fire Stones affect flame height in my Babyfoot?
The more fire stones used, the smaller the flame height. You should not completely submerge all of the stones or your flame height will be excessive. Only use the fire stones supplied with your fire pit. Do not use real stones in your fire feature as they could potentially explode and cause bodily injury.
My Littlefoot Fire Table lights but then turns off when I release the knob...
Littlefoot has a safety thermocouple that will shut off the gas valve in the event the fire goes out. The colder it is, the longer you have to push the knob in as the thermocouple heats up. Sometimes a firestone can block the thermocouple as well. Simply push the stone free of the thermocouple inside the ignition cage.
HOW SAFE ARE YOUR FIREPITS?
Anytime there is an open flame extreme caution must be used to protect children, pets and property from dangerous conditions. None of our firepits should be left unattended and should only be operated by a responsible adult.
CAN I USE MY FIRE PIT INDOORS?
All of our fire pits are smokeless and odorless. Babyfoot Fire, Ring of Fire and Bangkok burn Isopropyl alcohol with heat and water vapor as it's by product so they are great for indoor and outdoor use with no Carbon Monoxide build up. Repeated use can create Carbon Dioxide (similar to a human exhaling) so it's best to use in a well ventilated room. Bigfoot and Littlefoot Fire tables burn propane which does produce carbon monoxide so they are only to be used in a well ventilated outside areas. Avoid operating any fire pit near combustable materials.
CAN I USE MY BABYFOOT OUTDOORS OR FOR CAMPING?
Babyfoot Fire is great for camping. People enjoy it for clean s'mores and with a camping grate it can heat a pot of coffee and cook food. It shouldn't be used in windy conditions as the flame can be pushed over the lip of the fire pit. If it's your only fire we recommend bringing more than one to allow for the fire pit to cool before refueling.
ONE OF MY FIRESTONES IS CRACKED, IS THAT NORMAL?
When the stones first come out of the mold they are still soft and sometimes can develop hairline cracks. We are able to get most of these ugly ducklings out of circulation but the odd stone can get by us. There is no safety issue with a cracked firestone. We supply more stones than are needed so you can just throw a cracked stone away.
